Voluntary Work

Well I just thought I would share with my fellow CT’rs that today I have completed my first full solo day as a volunteer ambulance driver for my local hospice and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A little tired, not used to getting up at 0630 these days, but looking forward to my full day next Wednesday.

Ironically it took some time to get started because of a delay with my DBS check being sent to the wrong force but all’s well that ends well. I also enquired about volunteering with the Club and have not even had any response after three separate communications with them! Very disappointing really.

I am driving a 4.8 tonne IVECO with a tail lift and I am missing my reversing camera, does anyone else do similar voluntary work with their local hospice?

Regards, Roy Happy
