Spring has sprung and the bluebells are already coming out! We would love to hear your recommendations on where to stay in Spring? Is it because of the Spring flowers or the local wildlife, or an entirely different reason, please let us know what is your favourite Club Campsite to visit in Spring and why?

Our first welcome escapes in April last year were to Plymouth Sound and St Agnes, these are two non facility rural sites with direct countryside walks. Plymouth Sound has a lovely but steep walk down to the sea at Bovisand, where there's a cafe to sustain walkers. The lane on this route has all sorts of wild flowers in it's banks and there is a circular return route that follows a shady stream full of wildflowers in Spring.

St Agnes has wonderfull cliff top walks with beautiful areas of spring flowers and gorse in blossom, the air is so fresh too. A walk down to Chapel Porth with the blue Cornish sea in front is unmissable...likewise the famous beach cafe serving "hedgehog" ice creams or "croque monsieurs" to help you on the way back.

Fresh air, walks , wildflowers, bird song and cafes, what's not to like?! wink

This year we'll hopefully return to Exebridge, which also ticks all the Spring time boxes, river side pub included. smile

Not particularly a favourite Site, but it’s one we use in Spring for its location. Ferry Meadows, in Nene Valley Country Park. Lovely cycling the parklands, watching the varied bird life nesting. Quiet spots for a picnic as well, if you want to be away from the main hubs. Plenty of interest not far away from the Site as well. A decent enough price for a good location if you go before peak pricing kicks in. We had the advantage of the VAT discount as well.
