I'm sure we have all had them, and it is nice to get the "chores" done, and then settle down for a quiet read, feet up, or partake of a travel hobby.
But, does anyone have a favourite place to visit that is perhaps kept in reserve for a rainy day?
If we are in Cornwall, one of our rainy day favourites is to do a circular drive that takes in our favourite ice cream parlour in Hayle, then climb up through St Ives and take the coast road that runs all the way down to Penzance via Botallack, St Just, sometimes adding the Sennen Cove and Lamorna roads, and then along the seafront at Penzance and Marazion. There is always something different to see, new little shops and businesses open and lovely places to picnic. We do something similar if out on the NY Moors as well.
Any other ideas around the country for nice rainy days, not spent in the van?
