West Ayton - Opening Date!!!!

Have a booking early September for above site following the refurbishment over the last ten months or so. Cannot find anywhere any definite/specific details of a date although Site Bookings is open for reservations. Can this be relied upon as definitive and reliable? Don't want e-mail at last minute advising of cancellation due to works being uncompleted; or am I being unreasonable?

Tried phoning site on and off all afternoon; phone engaged so someone is there!

Phoned EGH bookings. Well that was a wasted effort and told to ring site! Tried CHAT, another abortive 'cannot answer question' now resorted to email.

Once again another poor example of communication and keeping members up to date and advised.

Certainly continuing to go down hill it seems.

Very, very grateful. Thanks for taking the time.

What I don't understand is why there appears to be this cloak and danger approach to availability of information and why if you can access the details, why not apparently available to the bookings team; all rather strange.

Anyway, again thanks.

I'm just a bloke on the frontline Bernard, I can't answer that.

You're welcome anyway.

I guess there is a difference between the date the contractors leave the site and the date the site is fully open and staffed for business?

There would be more disappointment if members booked a stay only to find the opening had been delayed so clearly better to sell pitches when there is certainty about the opening date for business..
