Does anyone know if visitors will be allowed on club sites as from Monday, this has been the most inconvenient part of the restrictions for me up to now, so I hope they will. Just have to wait and see.

One of the main reasons for no visitors was the problem of knowing who was on site for track and trace, as many don’t bother to inform the site staff. Although most restrictions are being lifted, I don’t know if it means we won’t have to register attendance at the venue. I would have thought that would be the determining factor.

It’s not just the restrictions on visitors that are expected to change.

In England, there will no longer be the need to limit the number of showers / washing up sinks etc open.
No need for enhanced cleaning, no need for  mask wearing in the site office, no restrictions on the number of people allowed in the info room etc.

Expect Wales and Scotland to announce their amended rules / advise soon.

Anything could happen!

🙂

Evening

There will be comms to the membership shortly, we had our brief today ready for next week. I think it will be satisfactory for the majority (probably not some ct posters!)

Not sure about a request John. The brief went to the network this morning, that would obviously include FM.

Surely, with additional parking extremely limited on sites the usual ‘all visitors must report to the office’ will once again become the norm as it has been for decades prior to this pandemic? If room is not available, particularly with sites as full as they are at present, then the answer must be no, am I correct?

The PM only confirmed this evening, from 5.00pm onwards, that restrictions are being eased so the Club will need a few hours to think about how those changes might impact on Club sites? As JK says we will be communicated to as soon as possible. Even if the rules remain the same regarding site visitors there is no reason why people can't meet up off site. My sister picked us up from a site on Saturday and took us out for a lovely meal and dropped us back at the site. No need to be on site?

I've never understood the need for visitors to come on site in the first place.

Personally I'm not keen on it, there are enough people on site as it is without visitors adding to it.

Coming to pick someone up is one thing but we've had it where a whole family arrived for the day. BBQ on the go for most of it, kids running around and even a dog with them.

Would it not have made more sense for the couple who's van they visited to go to the families house or if they lived in a flat go out somewhere.

Why should those on site who are on holiday and paid handsomely for the privilege, be subjected to their space and peace being invaded. Imagine if everyone or even half of the site did it.
