Visiting Bunree - any tips or suggestions?

Hi all.  My hubby, 2 children (aged 10 and 12) and myself are planning a vist to Bunree in Scotland for 2 weeks in August.  Can anyone who has already been there offer any tips or advice for family days out.  We are planning to take our bikes and would like to know if there are any suitable places to cycle (nothing too strenuous mind!).  Also, can anyone recommend any sandy beaches or rock pools not too far away.  We would also like to go across to Mull with/without the car so any advice on which ferry crossing to take and how much it'll cost would be helpful too.  I have an idea that it'll cost about £100 to take the car so we may go across as foot passengers. Can anyone help?
