Tredegar House & Park – Will it affect us?

When I have visited the CC site at Tredegar, Newport I have always enjoyed an early morning / evening walk with my two dogs around the park and walks at any other time. Have just been down to Cardiff this weekend visiting my son (not with the van) who lives about eight miles away from the site. Went to a church coffee morning and there was a lot of chat and discussion about the National Trust taking over the house from the local authority. I asked ‘what about the park’, they seemed to think there would now be a charge to go in, however for Newport residents it would be free.

My question: when staying at the club site, does that mean we will have to pay to walk around the park or will there be exceptions to caravanners staying there and no charge?

Any members living in Newport.
