Guests asked to muck in if members of staff are in self-isolation because of a ‘ping’ from NHS Covid app

MOST people look forward to relaxing and leaving the housework behind when they go away on holiday.


But guests at Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park in Cornwall have been asked to pack their rubber gloves and get stuck into cleaning the communal lavatories after staff were forced to self-isolate by the NHS’s Test and Trace app.

The owner of the holiday park in Padstow warned prospective guests that their stay was at risk of being cancelled unless they agreed to the new conditions. In an email headed “Dunkirk Spirit” the holiday park appealed for volunteers to “help clean toilet blocks” amid a potential staff shortage over the summer.

It what some on here have said in the past hour many hours is required to clean loos, could be worth it for a free pitchcool

Yep, he does like to get his face in the papers and on TV as often as possible. 🙄

Volunteer cleaners will save him the need to employ casual staff.

I would have thought it easier to close them and charge the same. This club set a precedent with Culloden.😉
