Is it time for change?

Moderator Comment: Partly removed to avoid political comments

Is it time for our "Club" to implement a significant reduction in fee's to create a breakeven  Budget Sheet for this and the next financial year. This isn't the time to add to the coffers and any approved and budgeted projects could still continue. If the reduction was significant then more members could utilise sites and see a benefit to their lifestyle and well-being. We all played our part in renewing membership during the pandemic and now is pay back time ?

Yup. 😁 Not my choice of terminology, it’s in the job description.

Change is going to be coming soon. Every Member will be analysed, and penetrated in terms of value to Club, what outfits we use, what products and services we use…….https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/about-us/work-for-us/head-office/vacancies/commercial-analyst-support/

I can safely say, we are worth diddledy squat, not worth the effort in terms of Club spend🤣🤣

It’ll be back to referrals for Membership soon, “does this applicant warrant becoming a Member ie will they spend enough to ensure Club coffers are well lined?” Please provide two references…….😎

In a previous life I was a Data Analysist. Maybe I should apply. A bit too far to travel though.

The job description says the Clubs aim is to, ‘better understand its members’ why doesn’t it just try reading some of its members opinions on here once in a while.

Based on experience of the club/member interface and and ongoing analysis of member input to the threads on this forum, I am able to form the view going forward that the Executive, IT department and central administrative function of CAMC should be placed in 'special measures'.

Marketing speak.

Basically, Club has been taken by surprise by folks wanting to join, they need a number cruncher to sort things out, count how many folks join but then leave, join then stay, how much does each spend, what do they tour in, how can we spend money a bit wiser on those who spend more and stay Members longer, and can someone interpret all this for rest of staff so we know what the heck is going on out there!

It probably sounds more romantic in French, but that’s the basic English version…….

An interesting job actually. Providing information gets actioned of course.

'Data' is useful, but it becomes far more useful when its understood and becomes 'information'.

I guess that'll be the next job advert...'information analyst'😉

Hi

I responded to you to explain without repeating my opening statements the background to the post,I did this under the misapprehension that you had not seen the full version, but I now see that you had.

Apologies for any confusion I may have inadvertently caused.
