Tents on Club sites

I notice from the August Club magazine that 41 club sites now allow tent campers. I thought I had joined the CARAVAN Club not the Camping and Caravan Club.

Having just had my two nights stay spoilt at a Club site due to the close proximity of a tent with a teenage family who stayed up laughing and joking until the early hours of the morning, I wonder why the Club seem to be making more sites tent friendly.

I have nothing against campers, most people probably started out as campers, but sound carries very easily through canvas.

Why not use the tent spaces for caravans, it is becoming almost imposssible to book sites at short notice now for a spur of the moment break.
