Sites near towns (like Southport/York)

Can anyone please reccomend sites that have towns next to them (walking 20 mins (ish) away) like the Southport/Bury and York sites.

Were starting to plan next years outings so all sites will be looked at if reccomended. Thank you in advance. Denise
