Hi everyone, if you have been away this week how lucky have we been !!.

I have a question we have a caravan with an awning plus we put a windbreak up as we have dogs so it gives them a chance to lay out on the grass which has been a god send this week. We have been on site 5 days then today we were asked to take our windbreak down so the warden could cut the grass which he did, then I put the windbreak up again which he saw and he never said a word.  About 2 hrs later another warden who is lovely came to see us & said there had been 4 complaints about our windbreak  my only niggling thing about this is we were 7.2metres away from the next caravan to our windbreak so no fire hazard. None of the 12 caravans near to us had complained.

So if we were not causing a fire hazard and there is no mention of anything in the rules regarding windbreaks where do we as members stand, I pay my membership the same as anyone else, we just want to get on site & relax.

As you've also made this same post on another thread I'll lock this one to avoid duplication.

It’s a sad fact of caravaning in tbe U.K., there are many self appointed Rule Police who make it there business to walk around the sites looking for all and every minor infringement of rules and delight in reporting people.
