Just seen the details for the Lincolnshire site so thought I would do the same with this one which was in the Bridgwater planning a couple of weeks ago and have been unable to see the plans, it is for a large storage area upto 500 units  and 20 hard  standing  touring pitches a small toilet block and staff accommodation and will be a ten month opening and it is on the RAF airfield near Westonzoyland an area I know well but a bit open area and could be some interesting directions to get to it, Peedee I have the reference number but could not get anything with so perhaps with your knowledge you could ref 53/23/00020  now Somerset County Council at Springway Farm, Springway Lane, Westonzoyland.

This seems to be an interesting diversion from the norm for the Club. Largely storage and just 20 pitches.

Cheers, Meth. It’s difficult to see on the phone but it looks like they plan to have a large storage area just as there is at nearby Cadeside. I’m wondering if Cadeside’s days are numbered in view of the development in that area.

Whatever, it’s more good news.

It would be a shame if Cadeside was closed. I appreciate the Club might not always have a choice in these things but it would be the disappearance of yet another site within walking distance/short bus ride of a town.

Thanks metheven I just could not get anything perhaps I was trying to early to see it.

Chatting to a friend on the phone last night he said that he was talking to somebody last year who stores their outfit at Cadeside and mentioned that Cadeside will go as houses are needed in that area other than that I know nothing else.

It would be a shame, David. It’s a great and unique site and I hope I’m wrong but I base my fears on the amount of building work going on in the area. When we first used the site, it was mostly surrounded by fields.

Agree it would be a shame, especially as there is now a very handy Lidl opposite.

The highways authority is not in favour of the Westonzoyland site, I would think that will carry a lot of sway with the council unless the Club comes up with better access plans.

That is my thoughts Peedee having lived locally for 25 years the roads are not the best there and no local shops  and one pub in Westonzoyland not sure about bus services either so will be interested to see what happens.

Just seen in the local paper news that the club have withdrawn the planning for this site as of 10th June, and I am not surprised.
