Park Coppice CC site - changing pitches

Whilst holidaying at Park Coppice with other family members we decided on day two to move pitch to be next to our grandchildren. Whilst doing this the warden approached & told me that we should tell the office before we moved as they would give us the new pitch keys & not allocate it to anyone else. I pointed out that pitches were not allocated & that it was perfectly possible for someone who was already on site to see the empty pitch & take it, before I returned from the office, but the warden could not see my point. As anyone who has been here knows, the one way system around the glades sees a lot of tourers going round & round looking for a pitch & I would be interested for other members views as to who was right. Me or the Warden ?
