Overnight stay in Plymouth - CL

Can anyone recommend an 'easy to access' cl in Plymouth for overnight stay? All ferries from Roscoff within our July dates return late evening. Previously we have tried the Club site (beautiful but difficult access), a cl which was hard enough to find in daylight but last year we couldn't find it in the dark and got lost. All the lanes seem very narrow. Any advice appreciated.

Make a note of the Lat & Long co-ordinates before you go and just input them to your satnav when required. Should be able to find anywhere then.

Either stay within the port area when you return,  or speak to Riverside Caravan Park (just off the Marsh Mills roundabout at the end of the Embankment) and ask whether they have late evening access.

I agree with Euro completely. The Riverside site also provides easy access to the A38 for onward travel. The club site is in totally the wrong place and CLs are thin on the ground.

If you are arriving in the dark for the morning ferry then just go to the terminal and you can stay there. When we did it they even knocked on the door in the morning to make sure we were ready to proceed when it was our turn.

Being local I would have to agree with Tinwheeler and Eurotraveller and go to Riverside easy access from Millbay and onto the A38. Nice site tucked away in woodland next to the river Plym.

I used to live within a few hundred yards of the site, FG. In fact I remember when there was no site.😀

Many thanks to all for your replies. I will probably try the Riverside campsite. Previously we have travelled in September or May when there was a choice of sailings (we have a favourite site in Landeda, Brittany, which is worth all the hassle of getting there). Thanks for the advice.
