Just read on a review that the Marazion site is due for closure. Does anyone know if this is correct and can CAMC sites team confirm or not? Thanks.

But as you and I know or should ,costs may have increased but so have those still employed salaries,, I wish I was earning. the kind of, Money that the occupant of my old job is earning, I would as also consider site fees quite reasonable ,surprised

but the club can do no wrong in the eyes of some ... and some were just glad to be away

Posted on 13/06/2021 21:35

And what is your point?

But as said by the hired motor caravan drivers at FM even. at non members prices, they considered the prices very reasonable ,certainly not premium ,that is how those on the "the outside" see the clubs prices even with the present restrictions on, with being asked if possible to use your own on board  facilties, to keep ones self safer

Ps as for paying and not getting a return I guess all the roads you use are perfect?

VED has been incorporated into the general coffers for many many years

That’s rather rude. I wouldn’t use it about your choices.

Apart from that, it is where we wanted to be at that moment in time.

and you decided to pay for something you could not have ....

yes but it was Steve's choice and you should respect that no matter what you personally may think, he knew the prices beforehand and decided it was worth paying and was happy.

I doubt whether it's a matter of giving up on them but if the Club can develop a site with full facilities it will do as A) it will be more popular and B) it will draw more revenue into the coffers.

David, Over the years I have stayed on  at least a dozen different non facility sites, usually in May or September but even occasionally in school summer time, and every single time they have either been full or as near as makes no difference. These sites generally attract those members who use CLs or don't mind using their own facility so I disagree with your view that they are not as popular.

They have lower maintenance costs and lower initial capital outlay and if my experience is anything to go by excellent return on the clubs investment.

I think the club tend to ignore their own remit of a few years ago during rebranding when they said they would be ready for the next explorer, whoever that happened to be! Well we're already members so pretty easy to find.

Give me a non facility site over a car park club site any day.

Last year when the Wels gov said that shower blocks should be closed, we were originally booked in at Chirk. When I question the club that they were not reducing the price per night, the reply I got back was that there was little difference in running cost between a full fat facilities site & a none facilities site ..... 🤔🤔 Quite how that works is beyond me

And I too would prefer a none facilities site to a club site
