Late Availability and Speed on site

Circumstances dictated late booking for the recent bank holday weekend so I used the late availability feature to find a local site for it for the first time.  Firstly I clicked to book where spaces were shown only to find having gone through all the form, no spaces Sad.  Having booked where from memory I believe there were only 1 space most nights, on arrival we found that the grass pitches were not in use, reducing capacity by about 18 spaces, there were empty harstandings, maybe only one, every night.  I know this is and has been a thorny issue but in this case full didn't mean FULL - how many other sites are/were the same??

Also there is the speed issue, as far as I could see very few were obeying the 5mph speed limit, some going at a lick even with a 'van on tow.  There were very few children but that doesn't mean that the speed limit should not be adhered to.  When is this issue going to be addressed?  When there has been a nasty accident??  I know the wardens cannot police it all the time, I have never seen action by a warden but maybe they are discreet about it?  But we can all read and for safety sake stick to walking pace!

Also booking in, again there has been loads of discussions on these pages about entry times but despite it saying no arrivals before noon there were and they were allowed on.  This seem to involve the wardens being called away from cleaning duties!  I do not want to be dictatoral about this but surely you can plan your arrival time within a little and 'rest awhile' nearby to await the witching hour Cool.
