I’ve done that for decades it’s a nice touch. In all honesty mind-not many sites have an issue as it suits them not to provide a welcoming party👍🏻

Booked a pitch yesterday for our late arrival off a ferry. Explained to the owner it might be as late as 10 o'clock.  No problem but if its after  midnight  park in the yard. Done on trust no deposit and of course not a club site.

Not sure that I understand the purpose of your post other than more club bashing.

Yes, if the site was named then it might help others near that ferry facing the same situation but otherwise?

The club of course do offer ferry pitches at certain sites, where you can turn up / leave at any time. It gives you guaranteed access to your pitch and EHU which some will require.  You do have to pay a deposit, although I don’t have an issue with that.
