Hi all. I thought I’d book this site for 4-5 nights this September, but appropriate dates were unavailable. So, I thought I’d get my booking in early for next year, in May. It appears that the site is full from this November until July next year? It’s obviously a glitch (isn’t it?) but never had this happen before. Anyone else had this issue?

I think it was earmarked for major renovation work at one point, maybe it's going to close for the duration?

Lovely site if you can get booked there - loads of walks around Chirk Castle estate and in both directions along the canal, but my abiding memory of every visit to the place is the aroma of chocolate!

Thanks both 👍 I quizzed google regarding refurbishment, but nothing came up. If it is to close for refurbishment, it would be nice if there was some kind of notice.

Just had a look in at face book as there was also a query  about LMP and some one at HO said it was open all year ,they then phoned the site who advised it was being refurbished by the site staff,

left and right hand?

It’s all very vague. You’d think that (on the face of it) given it’s going to be closed for 8 months (at least), some kind of announcement would have been made. It is of course perfectly possible that bookings will open up in the meantime, but there’s no clarity.

We were recently at LMP, it is due for a major refurbishment/remodelling. One day while we were there several teams of contractors/surveyors were walking the site armed with reams of drawings/plans. Something is in the offing, no doubt HQ will inform us all in good time.

I think it is common knowledge that LMP is a planned refurbishment but seems to have been suspended at least once if not twice. What you have seen on site is encouraging but final dates are probably still being decided. When it is firmed up no doubt the Club make an announcement.
