lack of and/or inconsistent local in formation

Been vaning now 10yrs, caravan now motorhome, have noticed recently the info rooms are far more useless than previously, just stacked up with preprinted stuff for places miles away, recently at chirk, the best on offer was a tatty oudated foodie guide, no local map, and a pretty useless sign post that the walk to town via a footpath passing the aqueduct was right outside reception, many others made the same remarks to me, and this brings me also to the club site leaflets, they are a waste of time and money, they all say the same thing, infact nothing of any local value, why not approach the local communities and get them to supply the info and get it updated, it would benefit their local economies if people were aware of what is on offer, where and when. I am not slating wardens here, they have their job to do, this should be for the club to liase with the local tourism officials and or chambers of commerce.  We dont all have the time or health to do our own exploring and what may be suitable for vanners may not be practical for motorers, or tenters on foot, any thoughts?
