in praise of wardens

Wardens often get a kicking on here and I have in the past told of one who was in the wrong job , but I have to say that the wardens at most sites are little gems. My biggest complaint in the past was the noisy grass cutters and the time it took the wardens to go over and over the same bit so that it was likened to a golf course. At Cirencester the site was full and the wardens were working flat out but always with a cheery hello when passing. It's a large site with plenty of grass to cut and he knew his job , one cut with some expertise that one cut was all that was needed, and he was on to the next bit, job done. I would like to applause that man, well done sir.
