Hardstanding Flooding - luck of the draw?

I arrived at Wythall Chapel Lane early yesterday afternoon- it had rained, but no hardstandings had standing water on them- I chose my pitch, a hardstanding (near the entrance), as it had no overhanging trees. We have had torrential rain overnight, and steady heavy rain so far today, and my hardstanding  is great- no puddles- but the one next to mine is nearly flooded, the one opposite mine is fine, and the one next down from the one opposite is nearly flooded- no rhyme or reaons, as the ground is flat so water doesn't appear to have flowed onto the flooded pitches- must be the drainage or lack of it.
