Gowerton Club Site

Anyone familiar with the Gowerton Club Site? Just seen a note in the site directory about motorhomers calling the site before arrival as it suffers in wet weather. Also there is a risk from Spring and Autumn tides? I imagine the latter would be true of both motorhomes and caravans. However on the first point the site seems to have an abundance of hardstandings which I assume are protected from wet weather? Also can't see anything on the site page on the website. I know I could ring the site but I am sure the staff have more to do than bother with casual enquires. It did cross my mind that the information might be out of date since we can now book a hardstanding pitch. Very few reviews from motorhomers either.

Thanks

David

There's nothing on the "before you travel" pages DK, that's your best source of info as site staff can get that updated daily, or as you say phone the site. Gowerton has a very high water table.

WTG, Thanks for that. Having looked at the access I am not sure I am that keen! We have been there before but it was many years ago when the lads were young. The reasonably near public transport was an attraction, maybe the only one. Perhaps I will concentrate on mid and north Wales for September, either that or its back to the West Country.

David - no need to give up on Gower - there is an excellent site overlooking 3 Cliffs Bay  (though quite expensive I think) and another very good one at Pitton Cross with views to Lundy and a short drive down to Rhossili. I believe both have bus stops adjacent,  though I'm not sure how regular they are. smile

Thanks

I did have a look. One was fully booked for when we wanted to go and the other the pitches seemed a bit small but thanks for posting.

There's another really nice one called Nicolaston Farm in the same area as Three Cliffs.

Hillend is very good but doesn't take dogs though.
