Glamping Special Offer - Using It

To give context, currently can't drive due to a health issue. In our family we do 'birthday month' ie the month of your birthday you get surprises.

Earlier today received an e-mail with title offer 'Glamping Special Offer 3 night breaks from £87'. Book by 3 April.

Disregarding the CAMC smoke & mirrors that appears the current modus operandi, took a punt. Booked 3 nights  (Th Fr Sa) end of April at Brighton. Heart attack inducing price, before receiving a £60 discount. Just over £70 a night for 3 of us. We can get a hotel B&B + dinner for less, but its a birthday treat. That was the comparator, but decided to give the GP a go. Caravan on serviced pitch is £50.40 per night, but can't do it.

All ok thus far.

Online booking added £30 for a dog we don't have, nor want. So typical CAMC IT system. Shall we just forget it, or go old school and use the phone. 56 minutes later after a couple of re-routes through Grimstead Towers got a booking with an e-mailed link to pay, that didn't work. Eventually the payment went through on a second attempt.

So we have a glamping pod booked. Long time since we've been to Brighton. Booked an open top bus trip day, will look to the zip line another day. We enjoy the television version of the Grace books, so will be good to see the settings. Fish & chips and ice cream at the seaside.

A concern is if we take our e-bikes on the back of the car, will they be safe on site, the pods are at the top at the back.

If it wasn't for having the time to go through the booking debacle, would have not bothered. Wonder how much business CAMC is losing due to poor booking system.

Will follow up on experience after the trip.

I am in a similar position, can only do max of a couple of nights away, and have friends who can no longer tow, and they like the Glamping holidays. So, I had a look, or tried to, but the Experience Freedom website wasn’t working well, so I confess I gave up. It doesn’t inspire you with confidence does the website.

Friends love them, and they work really well for them. Hope you have a good stay👍

£10 per night for a dog? Extortionate seeing as the members with a unit on site can bring as many as they like for nothing.

That's taking the proverbial. (From a non dog owning member)

That is a rude comment to make about our family choice.

Who said anything about sending out for f&c surprised?
