Hello. Yes, Scotland is very beautiful, and has many interesting places to visit, depending on what you are interested in. It’s like England, very different in its regions, driving around can take a while, as many roads go around and through the lochs and mountains.
Choosing one or two areas to visit would be a good idea, particularly if you only have two/ three weeks. In the past, we have driven up from Yorkshire and stayed around the Oban area, one year touring North as far as Fort Augustus, then driving over to the East Coast and enjoying the Lothians and Border areas. Another Scottish trip saw us again around Oban, but this time we drove right down onto the Mull of Kintyre, and came back via some nice stops in Dumfries and Galloway. We need to explore the far North and North East more ourselves. Why Oban you ask? Because it’s where the ferries to the Western Isles sail from, and a great addition to a tour. There are some great City visits as well.

Plan well, decide what you want to see, take heed of driving times, and don’t hurry to see too much in one trip is my top tip. 😁

Edit, you don’t say what time of year you plan to go, but make sure you are aware of the midge issue😱
