Dogs walks at Longleat

We are booked in to the CC's Longleat site in a couple of  weeks time and, having just read the site description, wonder what the exact situation is regarding walking one's dog in the area. From past experience we were able to walk around the grounds by the house with our dog, but this now no longer seems to be the case. Can anyone who's been there lately please tell me what the actual case is.
