Cycling around site

I know I am probably opening up a can of worms here but..... how do other members feel about the nuisance of children hurtling around sites on cycles and scooters? If arriving on site mid week (the joys of retirement!) the first few days are spent peacefully sitting outside our 'van. Come Friday evening it's as if a mini Tour de France has hit the site!  Speeds far exceed 5 miles an hour and we have witnessed several injured children. There was of course one very sad fatal accident. Isn't it time cycling was banned on site? We love to see children playing and enjoying the outdoors but there must be safer ways both for them and us and our 'vans.
