The bad news - our extended stay at Coverack CL had to be cancelled.

The good news our £200 deposit was returned the following day.   Now that is what I call service.  Thank you Nicola.

But on their website it says they are taking bookings for later in the year - so that's OK isn't it? They are not open.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm now busy taking your bookings for 2020.
(And prices have been kept the same as 2019)
Find the site on facebook and join the Riverside T.P. Group.
"Riverside will re-open, later in 2020 whenever possible".
The remoteness and isolation of our location has surely got to be one of the most safe environments.
Much safer than Planes, Cruise Ships, Buses, Taxis, Trams, Trains, Schools, Gyms, Supermarkets, Shops and the urban High streets.
In the mean time the grass will be regularly cut, trees & hedges will be manicured, weeds will be kept under control, the red squirrels and birds will be fed.
But I've just checked again and it still says:
"Riverside will remain open all year, despite the Coronavirus".
Despite the recomendations from the C. & M. club, Riverside intends to stay open.
The remoteness and isolation of our location has surely got to be one of the most safe environments.
Much safer than Buses, Trains, Schools, Supermarkets, Shops and the urban High streets.
Riverside is here for you.
You are very welcome to bring your self contained second home to my small remotely located River edge retreat, to escape, isolate and relax away from close proximity group activities and the potential spread of Coronavirus.
Your Caravan or Motorhome is your own self contained space which provides complete isolation from other individuals during the current Coronavirus scare. If you need to be 100% safe & sure just don't use the site communal facilities, (shower & toilet) use your own. Caravan & Motor home time away in the remote countryside is surely a great deal safer than being in an urban environment, and a superb way to relax.
"Stay Healthy at Riverside"
We welcome your "SHORT NOTICE" bookings for today, this week & next week.
Goldie. I see you are a Cumbrian, I was under the impression that Cumbria wanted us to stay away. Hope you are not related to this person.
I may be Cumbrian - but I'm south of Shap, in what used to be called Westmorland.
I'm not supporting him in any way - just giving a small measure of doubt - but his website does imply it is now closed.
I would not want to stay there - it's stretching the definition of a CL to the limit.
 As a Lancastrian I can remember all that when Barrow and Coniston where in Lancashire.
Yes, I used to work in Lancashire (Ulverston).
Another version of the website still says it's open: HERE
It is the link from the listing on the CAMC website that comes up with that, you need to scroll down to below the picture.
Mixed message or what??
Perhaps they haven't updated every part of their web site but if you look at availability etc it says they'll be open whenever it's possible. Updated 30/3.
