Hi there,

we are looking to goto Pembrokeshire in the summer holidays. We have never been there before and I am wondering if anyone can recommend  any CL’s. Preferably with electricity and family friendly (children allowed).

thank you.

Choose your location from the list on here - use a map - location matters a lot. Trust the general mass of reviews - on here and on UKCampsite.co.uk.  One more recommendation on here - probably from an older person - won’t help tip the balance if there are dozens of existing comments. And look at other small independent sites like Llanungar as well as CLs. I hope it goes well.

Hi StarGazzy. As EuroTraveller says have a good browse on the CL section, there are lots of CLs in Pembrokeshire, and each will tell if you if it’s Adults Only or children welcome.

Here’s one we found a few years ago. https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/certificated-locations/wales/pembrokeshire/pembroke/the-three-oaks/

It’s not manicured and super straight lines, but the owners are lovely and friendly, it’s a huge area for just 5 vans, has a laundry and shower on Site, and the location is quiet, but still easy to get out to the best of Pembrokeshire’s fantastic Castles and Beaches. All pitches are mown grass, we were there in some of the worst weather we have ever had, yet didn’t get stuck in our MH the whole week we stayed. And the price looks good👍 There will be some closer to beaches, if you prefer, but likely to be busy. Tenby will be heaving.

We didn’t go into Tenby on our last visit WTG, which was a September. We knew how busy it would be. Saundersfoot was as close as we got, and we dropped lucky with a harbour car park spot for our small MH. All depends what OP wants and needs I suppose. We visited Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle, Lamphey Palace, Bosherton Ponds, Freshwater East and Barafundle Beaches, and the drive to St David’s wasn’t a long one. All from the above CL. We were going to move up North a bit, but the CL was so nice we stayed longer.

Rivendell CL, Reynalton nr Templeton, No.2121 in Site Directory, has H/S serviced pitches and a large grasses area where the children can play. It is roughly equidistant from Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park, and not over far from the beaches at Freshwater East and Manorbier Bay.

West of Milford Haven another site with H/ S serviced pitches that I can recommend is Woody Kiln, No.2116.

We've always liked it around the St David's/Fishguard area, we haven't used a CL although we've spotted plenty in the area. Whitesands beach is a large popular family beach and there are other smaller beaches and coves dotted around. Maybe try a search around these two places including Trefin and Mathry for nice walks and harbour areas nearby. There are also a couple of good larger private camp sites within easy walking distance of St David's and both looking out to sea.
