When my dad was alive I saw him regularly and once a year we would take the caravan for a weeks fishing holiday. About 30 years ago whilst fishing the estuary by Caernarfon we came across a chap sitting on the step of his camper with his foot in warm water. I put his kettle on and raised the temperature slowly. Sat with him for around 20 mins and left his kettle to hand.

About an hour or so later he walked to where we were fishing. He said his foot was still a little sore but not the previous agony laughing

It was vinegar, the Lady told me she carries it whenever on a beach, it lessened the pain for sure

Also good for giving relief from nettle stings too.
