Brora CC - the most charming site of all?

Just finished a three week tour of Scotland.

The Brora site is probably the most charming of all CC sites. No need for access barriers, quaint service block, and plenty of grass pitches. No sign of the corporate layout afflicting the newer sites. No broadband either. Good motor vehicle waste point. Lots of different nationalities having conversations. It was just what I want a CC site to be. The golf course and beach help!

It was the first site I stayed on as a caravanner 24 years ago and it was great to visit it again as a motohomer.

Which would be your favourite site over the time of your membership?

Forfar was a nice site but the town itself was disappointing. 28C at New England Bay for a week was just too much even though the dusk banks of sea fog [haar] gave some great photographs. Chips and Irn Bru flavoured ice cream were on the menu at Stonehaven but we didn't try the battered Mars bar. So many seagulls!

Only downsides were the ugly access road to Forfar and Stonehaven - CC trying to do somethng to improve them.

Four great sites.
