Application of Fire Regulations

One of the reasons we use caravan club sites instead of other alternatives is confidence in the knowledge that the fire seperation rules will be enforced, with no exceptions.

After a recent visit to a local caravan site it was with some surprise that we noticed two units (A caravan and a motorhome) squeezed onto the fenced wardens pitch next to the site reception with little more than walking distance between them.

Surely the rules should apply to the whole site otherwise how can the wardens enforce them on others whilst breaking the same rules themselves?

Or am I missing something?
