Just read on FB that Valley Tuckle site at Camelford is to close due to the building of a new by pass.

When you see the options it looks as the the road just clips the site so could it be pushed further away from the site edge.

Plans Here

Harry

Perhaps its the disruption during the building of the by-pass that has caused the issue? The building process often encroaches further into the actual surrounding land that the road itself.

BTW, the link doesn't work. I imagine the link was from within a planning portal and they don't seem to share like other links from previous experience of trying to do the same.

From what I saw of the proposed routes they both get very close to the site perimeter. Let's hope you are right.

Perhaps the club could throw some light on what's happening.

Can't explain the link

Evening

The Camelford bypass has been on the cards for all the time I've worked for the club. The corner of the site which used to be the tennis court (now storage) will be part of the bypass. Imagine a pitch 10 meters away from the main A39 bypass? Going by how much in demand the town has for housing, I guess the rest of the site will be part of the major development going on at present?

We love the site, humming pylon and all, and will miss a walk to get a chippy tea at Peckish, but I'm sure there maybe something new on the horizon soonwink

That sounds like you may have heard something JK. Incidentally that was my very first club site back in 1989 and I too remember the pylon.
