A question around booking

We occasionally like to drop into a Club Site and stay without booking ahead. Normally, we would take a look and see if there are pitches available, but not actually book. I can do this now via the new booking system, which will give me a nightly price, based upon our party size and pitch choice. What would be interesting to know, is if the price shown on the booking website is going to be the same price if I roll into the Site and book in on arrival, ie without going through the bookings system?

Common sense tells me it should be the same, but I am somewhat wary of the transparency over pricing, and wondered if anyone, visitor or staff had more information that might help?

At the very least I would expect it to be the same, even less. If you had not turned up the available pitch would not have been sold and the Club loses income. If they charged more I would walk away.

We can accept the same, happy to fill an empty pitch. Even happier if it was to be discounted. If it was more than on website, on the day, we would drive away, we are seldom without a Plan B. I just wondered if anyone had done this at all yet.

Thanks PD.

As far as I'm aware it will be the same TTDA. During my last work stint a couple of weeks ago we had several people turn up without booking an the price remained the same. However, the new pricing thing has since started so I can't now be sure. Saying that I'm working the same site next week so I'll be able to confirm either way then.

As I understand it Dynamic Pricing for Club sites will mean the price on some sites could rise slightly as they fill up (like C and CC sites). The incentive is to book early, not last minute. It will not be like Holiday Tour companies where there are last minute deals.

Thank you JK, it would be good if it was the same. I simply cannot book anything ahead, not even by 24 hours, as Mum’s condition and health is so precarious, but if we can take a look on website morning we can get away, to check then that will help. It’s not a make or break thing for us, as we can use CLs and other options, but I just wondered.

Be good if you are in a position to report back further, but no worries if you cannot for whatever reason👍😁
