Back by popular demand, 50% OFF midweek discounts are now available, plus we've added a new 15% family saver too.

The discounts are running for a limited time so to book or find out more visit SPECIAL OFFERS

As a new member (who’s already a member of ‘another club’), I was excited to receive the offer email as I’m in the process of booking a tour for October.

After trying multiple times to book and not getting anywhere near the 50% off I was expecting, it suddenly dawned on me that, despite no apparent small print, the pitch fee wasn’t what I was actually booking/paying when I was booking a pitch!!!!!

Having read the above comments, it appears that some members at least, know this is the case. However as someone who has booked pitches for years with ‘another club’ or direct with sites and received (if applicable) a 50% discount on a pitch and paid exactly that I feel that this supposed offer is a complete con

I can only agree, but you do need to read the "small print"!   Never expect CAMC to give anything for nothing.

The offers are so restrictive that few members will be able to benefit  from them.   Smoke and mirrors come to mind.

We are also members of the other club, their offers are a bit easier to understand, we use them as much as we can, plus we use a lot of CLs.

Yes when some of us raised comments on another thread that there is no tariff regarding pitch fees it's impossible to calculate whether this offer is valid.

I , or rather OH , looked at booking Sutton on Sea for June.  For 2 of us for 4 nights it was £140 odds, for adding a child  over 5, it falls to £130 odds.

Why should we (OAPs) pay more for 2 people than 2+ a child?

What way is that to treat (mainly) long standing members on a limited income?

Just checked, we had an email this afternoon. Opted in a few months ago so at least that bit worked (after a long time of protesting that it didn't work...wink)

We've still not had any emails despite changing and updating.

I noticed the offer on FB this morning, if I didn't do FB or CT I'd be none the wiser. Not exactly what you would call customer friendly.

I did a bit of trial booking for Balbirne site and worked it out. The saving over 3 days was £14.25. When I broke it down the pitch fee would have been £9.50 and an adult £8.20 so 50% off pitch fee was £4.75.

TG, I tried a similar booking on my Kindle but there was no discount included in the final price, so now it seems to get a discount one has to book using a computer or possibly an iPad.

The whole thing is joke!! As others have said it is just a con, to extract extra funds way before arriving at a site.

I did get an e mail today about the offers, OH organised to opt me in for e mails a wee while back.  I leave all that up to her.

I was later able to work out the £6 off pn at FM by breaking down the fees for the additional person and taking it from there. If it's just one person it's not so easy to see the workings. I prefer clear price details.

I love the irony in Rowennas' opening post, namely "Back by popular demand".

I wonder what else might be brought back by popular demand?😅

However while it is in term time the discount is available all days of the week and can start on any day and only a two night minimum is needed so it will be worth it for families at weekends and Hillhead would be a good saving?

Whilst your statement is certainly factual I not sure how practical it will be for many. We live fairly central and the closest site to us is 70 miles away and because of the roads well over two hours, the rest are over 3 hours away. Even with price decreases fuel price is a major factor and we haven’t had the budget yet.
