10% deposits at all UK Club campsites

Is this an indication that the introduction of deposits has not achieved what the club wanted? It would be interesting to have an explanation of what has prompted the change.

I phoned the club this morning we were booked for 3 weeks from 8th June, the wife received a phone call due to a cancellation she could have a surgery on the 15th June, we were unable to give 3 weeks notice, the club were very understanding and issued us a voucher to be used against our next booking.

well i laughed out loud when i saw yet another "discount " incentive announced - like the offers on pitch fees

I hope the penny is dropping at last at Club HQ that the changes they have forced on club members aren't well received by the majority.

we never cancelled any bookings previously , but didn't like the new booking system of 20% deposits  and 21 days cancellation deadline . By now under the old system we would have  booked up in advance for the next 12 months . Now we are waiting till nearer the date and opting for CLs in many instances as the Club site fees are ridiculous

You can please some people some of the time .

But unfortunately you won't ever please everyone .

It was the same before deposits were even introduced , those in the membership that were constantly disappointed because the availability they wanted was always booked by someone else first  , the mythical block bookers were blamed to be the main culprits.

Both booking systems old & new were / are equal to all the membership , it's just that some members feel they are more equal than the rest.

Personally i don't mind paying booking deposits to the club ! , because i don't it's that simple.

I only use Cl's.
