Wild camping not welcome Spain

Would visitors to andalusia please note that wild camping has been banned.We are in Mojacar andalusia at the moment & the police have been having a great time issuing fines to predominantly motorhomes parked on the seafront for days on end,blocking everyones view of the sea & as one bar/restaurant owner told us ,spending nothing.There is no reason for this to happen as this area has several campsites & we have actually seen vans parked for several days on the beach opposite the campsite.contributing nothing to the local area.other than using the local drainage system.

I am ashamed to say that 90% of these vans are brits so I believe that a warning is given by the police after which a 100euro fine seems to be the norm,
