Tricky moment at Les Pommiers

Well, back home now after truncating our French trip (many thanks to the CC travel service for rearranging our ferry BTW). We stayed at Les Pommiers at Ouistreham for the last 2 nights as usual. They have fitted a new security system with codes to raise the barriers on entry / exit which seemed to work well - each vehicle has its own unique code.

So, ready packed and hooked up, we arrived at the exit barrier just after 07:00 yesterday to catch the 08:30 ferry back to Portsmouth. And the code didn't work.......

With a lengthening queue behind us, we tried other people's codes, rang the "emergency" number (which was disconnected) and tried to think of other ways of getting out. Of course there was no-one in sight.

Mysteriously, at around 07:15 when we were all getting a bit panicky the barrier raised itself and let us all out. I have no idea what made it work and didn't really want to hang about to find out, but I will definitely be emailing Les Pommiers to raise the issue with them.

Other than that our couple of nights there were fine.
