Towing in Provence

We have just returned from our first overseas caravan touring trip - 9 weeks "zig-zagging" down through France to the Spanish border and back !!  We absolutely loved it, so much so that we have left our caravan in Normandy and plan to return in April to continue our adventure!    BUT.... I desperately want to go and tour round Provence but my husband is reluctant.  He thinks it will be a nightmare with our heavy, 13 metre + outfit on huge hills and sharp bends. (We have a Land Rover Discovery and twin axle Swift Conqueror).   Is he right to be concerned or can you allay his fears please?!?
