Through Albania to Greece

For many years we have driven our VW campervan to Greece travelling across Europe to Italy and then taking a ferry to Igoumenitsa. These trips have been great fun and relatively hassle free. This year we thought we would drive through the Balkans: i.e. along the coasts of Croatia, Montenegro and Albania. However, when it comes to Albania we are finding it hard to get information about roads, motor insurance cover, safety etc. Has anyone made this trip or have relevant information? We would welcome any comments or advice.
