Suggestions for Carnac area

Hi , we are currently in Concarneau (Les Sables Blancs) and planning to move across to the Carnac area. We would have liked to stay at Les Druids but it's now closed for the season.  Any other suggestions for a quiet site with decent sized pitches? Not bothered about entertainment or pools but walking distance to restaurants would be good.

TIA

Barry

We liked Camping de La Baie on the outskirts of La Trinité-sur-Mer. Good size pitches; bar and restaurant overlooking the beach; lovely coastal walk into the town, where there is an abundance of places to eat.

Drawback: it closes on September 17th, which may be too early for you?

Good recommendation. We arrived yesterday. Nice site but only just got a pitch as it's full which surprised me for September.

We were at Les Druids for a few nights until 31st August. It did surprise me that it closed on Sept 2nd, and I'm guessing a good reason why the site you are on is busy.

For future reference the location was excellent and the site OK. It does charge a lot for Internet though.

Stumbled on this discussion looking for something else!  I must endorse the comments about full sites in the shoulder seasons.  We experienced this for the first time this year when looking for sites in the Alsace area and near Lake Constance.  A phone ahead will now become our norm.  En route when we would probably be away from the popular areas no problems so long as you arrive early; we tend to stop about 4 - 5 pm.
