Going to Spain in Feb 25, probably using club recommended sites, E26 Regio near Salamanca, E15 Despenaperros, W20 Parque Tropical, E06 La Bella Vista, W10 Cabo de Gata. Last trip in Feb 24 to Alicante area lots of restrictions with dogs could not use public transport/ coach trips/ taxis, beaches, restaurants. anyone used these sites and are they recommended ? any others in the region recommended ? using a small campervan/awning taking bicycles with a dog basket on one !

Hi Steph, No one is replying which is a shame, so I looked up reviews for some of the sites on your list. My goodness, what a range of opinions - they span the entire gamut from Excellent to Absolutely dreadful.

So I showed the results to number 2 daughter - the one who is just back from exploring Portugal bottom to top by train - and asked her what she thought. Portugal or Spain?

And she said, Dad , get a flight from Stansted, forget the campsites and the polytunnels, a nice hotel in Lisbon would suit you very well.

As the OP wants to travel by campervan and take bikes and a dog, I fear your daughter's suggestion may not be the answer, Euro. 😕

Yes, if the dog has some interest in the history, culture, art and architecture of Spain or Portugal I would take him but otherwise leave him home with a carer.

Bikes can be hired.

xx

But would it suit the OP? No, otherwise why did they ask the question with dogs and campsites?

Caz4Steph, I’m sorry I don’t have the knowledge to answer your questions but hopefully someone who can help will be along soon.
