Overseas storage of caravans insurance ??

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Clubs insurance arm doesn't offer extended cover to those owners storing their caravans permanently on mainland European soil ?

With regards to those stored on French soil, from research I have carried out, I don't believe there is a French insurance company that is able to offer insurance as to do so, the vans have to be registered over here.

I believe there are companies such a Tower Gate who claim to offer extended cover for caravans stored overseas, but I don't know what experiences any owners have had who have had to resort to making claims against their policies, it would be good to hear.

As a site owner in France who does offer under cover storage as a facility, it would be nice to learn of experiences and or the knowledge of other Club members on this important issue.
