Normandy - DD Landings

Next May we are planning a trip to Normandy so that OH can visit some of the DD landing beaches and museums.

We will have our 11 year old daughter with us who will not be remotely interested so, although we will take her to some of the places so she receives a bit of education, we don't want to make it miserable for her and we need to make sure it is her holiday as much as it is ours.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a town/site to stay where there is a bit of a holiday atmosphere?  Ideally we would like the site to have an indoor swimming pool, bar and restaurant.  As for the town, we aren't fussy as long as there are a couple of supermarkets and perhaps somewhere to have a meal away from the caravan site.

Thank you in advance for any replies.
