Motorhoming (europe)

Hi my other half and I wish to stay at his uncles Villa in torrevieja spain in June July time and would love to take the motorhome with us and actually see something of France and Spain along the way .We know we would like to go via Euro tunnel but has anyone got a well recommended route which incorporates maybe a stop over or two in France .We are definate newbies with experience to the motorhoming way of life though have owned caravans for approx the last 15 years or so but never took it abroad ..Any advice would be most welcome .Thanks Mary
