More Euros for your quid

I've been doing a bit of research into money transactions from abroad lately. Actually I'm going the other way, converting Australian dollars into Pounds Sterling, but the same applies if buying Euros.

The banks give me nothing, and take me nowhere.

OZforex has a branch in the UK doing currency transactions, and if going for a while ( a month or two), you may like to check out their rates.

The catch is you must have a Eurozone bank account, such as in Ireland, France, Germany (anywhere in the Eurozone) to deposit the money once it's converted from your Pounds.

If converting a minimum of GBP 3 000, there is no transaction fee. Below that down to GBP 1 000, there's a fee of 7 quid per deposit.

Conversions as at midnight 27 / 28th Feb

GBP 100.00 = Euros 113.80  . . . . into your bank account.

Mid-way point, used by the banks for selling and buying Euros is 115.38 per GBP 100.

If you can get better, go for it.
