Long Distance Towing in France.

We plan a trip to Provence in late August & September 2013. I personally am a very experienced driver on French roads although my OH is less so.

We want to get there quite quickly using peage motorways as much as possible, (hopefully sharing some of the driving), then come back slowly. Towing at 90kph all day is no problem with the outfit and we observe speed limits, It's about 760 miles from Calais to our planned destination.

With this in mind, wthin France only:

What average towing speed to members think they can comfortably achieve, including breaks, on French motorways?

How many hours maximum would you drive in a day between sites?

What maximum distance would you budget in a day between sites?

If you drive "nonstop" (i.e.no overnight sites), is it OK to stop for a sleep (say maximum four hours or so), with a trailer caravan, in the motoway 'aires'?

Any advice or experience would be appeciated.
