Interlaken to Locarno

I am planning to stop at the excellent 'Lazy Rancho' in Interlaken for two weeks before travelling to the 'Locarno' 'Lake Maggiore' region.

Q1. Can anyone recommend a caravan site in the Locarno regio?

Q2. Has anyone driven from Interlaken to Locarno?Is the route suitable for towing?
