Have you been stopped by the Police?

Good morning everyone!

I am just being nosey! I am very interested to know how many times, and for what reasons people have been stopped by the police. Even though I have posted this on the overseas forum, please feel free to include your UK stories as well!

 I have been stopped 3 times in 22 years of driving:

Twice in the UK in the week running up to Christmas, both times the police asked me where I was driving too, I answered, he said “thanks very much, please continue…” both these stops were over 10 years ago.

Three years ago I was pulled over Germany, I was asked where I had come from and where I was going, and the result was the same as above.

Would love to know why/when/where other people have been stopped, I would like to know what the most popular reasons are. Have you ever been issed a fine?

I think that the 3 occasions I have been stopped, it has been the police looking for drunk drivers.
