Grounding when using cross Channel ferries

It is a long while since I used a cross Channel ferry now preferring to use the Le Shuttle for convenience.  Many of the services have been terminated and ships have changed but one of the problems of using them which used to occasionally occur was grounding either of the jockey wheel on the draw bar or the tail end of the outfit. This was probably dependant on tides and the overhang of the outfit. On one occasion I refused to disembark untill they made adjustments by using what looked like railway sleepers to fill a dip.

Has anyone had a recent experience of this, is this still a problem today?
